When I go through a Metal Detector I try to appear aloof. My hope is that feigned innocence will decrease my odds of beeping. I am, however, not afraid to beep. I invite investigation; I feel guilty until proven innocent.
Earlier today, I earned my way into 60 Centre Street by passing the Detector’s test. I must have stood under this ceiling, in awe, for fifteen minutes.
